#ECwalk4water · July 10, 2021
Join our campaign to raise $5,000 to provide clean drinking water for the students at Miruya Primary School in Rongo, Kenya.
Every day, 238 young students leave their school grounds with empty jerry cans and walk one mile to a nearby river. They fill their jerry cans to the brim and then walk one mile back to their homes.
The walk is long.
The walk is hot.
The walk is for water.
But the water is dirty.
Let’s bring the water to the students.
Everyone’s Child, in partnership with the local community and school administration, is raising funds to dig a well at Miruya Primary School. This well will provide fresh drinking water for students that will only be a few steps away.
What are we going to do?
On July 10th, 2021, Everyone’s Child is hosting a Walk for Water event.
What does this mean?
This Walk for Water event simulates the journey children from the Miruya Primary School must make every day to find water. People across the country (and around the world, for that matter) will walk two miles to raise $5,000 toward digging a well for this primary school. Whether you can walk or not, you can be part of this effort.
